Excess body fat

What is Excess body fat?
Excess body fat refers to the amount of adipose tissue (fat tissue) that is above the recommended level for a person’s age, gender, and overall health. While some body fat is necessary for the body to function properly, too much body fat can lead to a range of health problems and is generally considered unhealthy.
What causes it?
The most common causes of excess body fat are poor diet and lack of physical activity, however, there are other factors too, such as hormonal imbalances, genetics, stress and certain medications. It’s important to note that in many cases, excess body fat is the result of a combination of factors, rather than a single cause. Maintaining a healthy diet and staying physically active can help prevent the development of excess body fat, as well as reduce the risk of associated health problems such as diabetes, heart disease, and high blood pressure.
How can it be treated?
At Deemesh Oudit plastic surgery, there are several procedures available that can help remove stubborn pockets of fat that do not respond to diet and exercise, including: Liposuction, abdominoplasty, arm lift and thigh lift. Our plastic surgeon will evaluate your needs and goals, discuss treatment options, customize the treatment plan, provide pre-operative instructions, and offer post-operative care to ensure the best possible outcome for your excess body fat treatment.
